Twelve days of Kiwi Christmas

 We were learning about the twelve days of kiwi Xmas. My ones that I had thought of was (Number 1, 5, and 9).

I really enjoyed working cooperatively with my friends and getting this done.

I found it hard to think of what is NZ-ish for christmas.

I found it easy to make our slide about the twelve days of kiwi Christmas more fun to read/sing

Next time I will not do other peoples work and just do my own work.

Cybersmart 2020

We have been learning about sharing toolset skillset or mindset to other people. Also they can see what we have been using for 2020 year in team toroa. a skillset is like a google slide or something and mindset is what you decide of doing like being resilient and the learning kind to other people. toolset is like a tool so say it is screencastify or like a text box its like something in google slide, Or it could be the insert button

I enjoyed making my slides about the skillset because really liked making shapes and including what to do say. Also my favourite slide was explore because it had tons of stuff on it. We really worked hard on our screencastify we had to do it 2 times! which really made me laugh of how bad the quality sounded

I found It challenging to make lots of shapes and words for explore because I couldn't decide because literally they were all amazing shapes to fit (which I couldn't)!  

Next time I will not go overboard on the shapes and words do more including of my work on gmail and make it understandable!

What Xmas means to me

We were learning about making a Xmas animation so we show how we celebrate Xmas.

I found it easy to find the pictures for my animation.

I found it hard to make the animation because it had like heaps of slides!

Next time I will  make my animation a bit smaller.

Moment in time (Tuhi)

We were learning about writing a moment in time. the moment in time was about a squirrel and a Hawk the hawk was trying to eat the squirrel and it was running away and showing off to it the video is on our team toroa site it is really cool.

I found it easy to watch the video and put some information on the planning slide.

I found it hard to write my moment in time writing.

Next time I will try better on my planning instead of getting distracted.

Acrostic poem

We were learning about describing what fireworks looked like! How we did it is our teachers lit up sparklers and put them near us it was fun!

I found it easy to find backgrounds for the poem. 

I found it hard to describe the letters, for e.g (Fun fire works)

Next time I will add a guy fawkes poem some time

Nga tae (Colours)

 We were learning about colours but in maori.

I found it easy to find out the colours for my slide

I found it hard to find pictures for what colour because I couldn't figure out what to put in!!

Next time I will ask for help when I need it.

Postcard to my mum

 We were learning about what is real and what is fake on the internet.

I found it easy to find my background and write my postcard to my mum.

I found it hard to blend myself into the water.

Next time I will blend myself to make me look see through.

What makes a good recount?

Archie and I were showing what makes a good recount.

We were showing people about what makes a good recount.

I found it easy to include my goal for this term because my goal is just that I need to put more effort into my writing

I found it hard to think about what actually makes a good recount but lucky I had a buddy otherwise I would have been lost.

Next time I will think more about what makes a good recount.

 This animation is about a girl having a very fun day on the playground.

pest test

We were learning about what are pests and we were doing an animation on slides or on scratch and I chose slides because I don't know how to use scratch yet. 

I found it easy to put the pictures in because I just needed to size them all the same.

I found it hard to link the photos to the next and last slide because my screen is so small and the think is so far down.

Next time I will make a map of how I made this pest game.

how to play my game: you chose the right animal to kill if its wrong..but if it's right you know all about hunting!

how can we encourage birds to come into our school

We were learning about how to let birds into our school, so we were making a drawing of why we think or how can we let birds into our school here's mine.

I found it easy to make my kiwi because I just polyline it and I didn't know what zoom was until I clicked on it. 

I found it hard to decorate my drawing because I had to keep the stuff in order and it just got all messed up. 

Next time I will think what i am going to do and not mess it up.

Native New Zealand birds

We were learning about Native New Zealand birds (Native, Endemic, Introduced)

I found it easy to do my slide because my slide was ''what is a bird'' and I just had to put photos and write what birds look like and what they can do it was really fun to I don't think I know lots about birds yet. it's because I am not really a fan of birds.

I found it hard to make it look pretty and find native birds because I can't name much New Zealand birds because there is loads of them but I only know the kereru tui kakapo kiwi and a pukeko.

Next time I will do more research and put it into my slide so people know more about birds and not just about it's body.

Persuasive writing.

We were learning about the environment and persuading I am not used to persuasive writing yet.

I found it easy to copy and paste my information from my draft onto my slide.

I found it hard to write all of my information i needed because we needed paragraphs.

Next time I will think about looking at and putting more references into my work.

Rangi and Papa

 We were learning about Rangi and Papa (in the beginning) this meant we were doing a colouring in collaborative art is what they are called and they turn into a puzzle like our toroa one we have done over in room 1. Then we did do all the spirits (tangaroa, tu, tane, rongo, haumia, tawhirimatea.) and put little bits of paper on them but me and my group (puriri) didn't do it we chose to do the colouring in.

I found it easy to find my facts and information about rangi and papa's story and write them down onto my slide with my cooperative group.

I found it challenging to finish the main colouring in's that people didn't colour in quite well also the one i did with my group we had to do t with crayon which made my hands die it was making our colouring in look weird and it was so HARD! I really wanted to do it with pastel.

Next time I will press more harder for the crayon to blend into my cooperative groups topic about rangi and papa and not give up! I really wanted to change my mind to do the paper one but we had to finish and everybody already got to it which is fine because other people need to do it to!

How to use scratch

We were learning about Teaching people how to use scratch if they don't know how.

I found it easy to Hand my mahi in because it was the best part!

I found it challenging to record my screencastify because it was very noisy.

Next time I will go outside and be confident to talk.

I found it easy to...put the callouts on the drawing and type in them.

Next time I will..make it more quality.

Scratch commenting

 We were learning about...This week our classes are learning how to make a quality blog comment and also we demonstrate how to do a quality blog comment for people who view our blogs and if they don't know how to post a quality blog comment or if they want a change if they think how they comment is boring.

I found it easy to...make the backdrop to my scratch post and also get my animal for the character because i couldn't decide so i didn't really know and i found the griffin.

I found it challenging to ...get all the codes i needed to make an example for demonstrating because when i demonstrate i find it a bit hard to explain most of the time but this time i tried my hardest and it turned out really good.

Next time I will...use scratch more so i remember how to use the codes properly and not mess up to waste my time.

We were learning about how to make quality blog comments.

I found it easy to picture what i am going to write in my head.

I found it challenging to figure out a reason to tell people what a quality blog comment looks like.

Next time I will maybe not be focused on the theme and do more working.

I found it easy to find the background to mine and Lucas-n's work.

I found it challenging to put the fire onto the hawk's wing.

Next time I will not go to much overboard on the fire.
